After hearing submissions from both RailCorp and Unions it was determined that RailCorp will next week provide the Unions with:-
- Copy of the Memorandum of Agreement (M.O.A.)
- The new performance development process
- A draft copy of the letter to be sent to affected employees indicating rates of pay and translation to new structure
- A list of questions and answers for the presentation
It is envisaged that in the week commencing 26.11.07 the presentation to members will commence.
Ballot papers will be sent to all affected employees and such ballot will be conducted by the Australian Electoral Office.
The M.O.A. is on the RTBU website along with the questions and answers which members are urged to view.
The offer that has been made by RailCorp will provided pay increases for the vast majority of members in the former S.R.A and R.I.C, others will attract pay increases through the performance development process (which was not available to former R.I.C. employees) and others will be redcircled on a protected personal salary. No employee will be financially disadvantaged.
Those above the former R.I.C. "bans" will also have an opportunity to seek to have their positions re-evaluated and if the positions are upgraded direct appointment will apply in these instances.
