The material and information contained in the Safety Matters Guide is drawn from a collaborative effort by RTBU delegates and members, other unions, WorkCover NSW, and Unions NSW, during 2006 and 2007. Safety Matters builds on previous
resources developed by the RTBU to assist members, delegates and OHS representatives in understanding and effectively participating in and monitoring health, safety and welfare in their workplaces.
The RTBU would like to acknowledge the particular financial assistance provided to the project by the WorkCover Assist Program, and the resources, time and input by Mary Yaagar and the team at Unions NSW.
