After much controversy a vote of all Transit Officers was taken to select either Roster F or Roster G. Although Roster F was selected it is important for RTBU members to remember this roster will only operate for 9 months. Your RTBU representatives will be meeting with management in the next month to commence discussions about the next roster.
Prior to the vote RailCorp management provided RTBU members with a series of assurances which form the basis of these negotiations including:
• Consideration of a 9-½ hour roster;
• A transparent process starting with the provision of the business needs;
• Development of a new roster within 6 months;
• Ongoing consultation after the full roster cycle.
