The RTBU have written to RailCorp requesting an urgent meeting to discuss the strategies in place to protect our members in the event that the Swine Flu virus reaches Australia.
Our members are at the frontline and will be one of the first to contact people travelling from overseas who may have been exposed to the virus.
Whilst it appears at this stage that the Flu virus has not reached Australia we believe the protection of our members from such a virus is paramount and we need to ensure that strategies are in place to minimise the risk to frontline workers in RailCorp and AirportLink.
Members will be kept informed on this important issue.
