Know your Executive and Locomotive Divisional Councillors
 

Robert Hayden Divisional Secretary

Bob Hayden has a long involvement with the Locomotive Division, and holding the Divisional Secretary position between 2002 and 2004, before moving to the RTBU National Office, where he held positions of National Organiser and National Secretary. Bob was appointed Divisional Secretary in 2010, pending RTBU union elections

 

 

 

Bob Newham Passenger Organiser

Bob started on the railways 23 years ago and has followed successive generations onto the job. He started his career at Eveleigh as an acting Fireman in 1984 & progressed through the ranks at CountryLink until being appointed Acting Driver in 1988. He then transferred to Central ETR to gain his Drivers appointment in 1994, and then transferred to his current depot at Campbelltown.
At Campbelltown depot he has held the roles of Vice President, President and Sub Divisional Secretary until his successful election of Divisional Assistant Secretary.  Bob has been appointed as the Passenger Organiser

 

Steve Wright Freight Organiser.

Steve has been employed in the Rail industry for 25 years with the Public Transport Commission, State Rail Authority, Freight Rail, FreightCorp and now with Pacific National where he is a Locomotive Driver stationed at the Hunter Valley Depot. Steve was elected as Divisional President in December 2004.  In 2006 Steve was appointed as Freight Organiser.

 Brian Glover Divisional President

Brian has been employed within the rail industry for 29 years. He started as a labourer at Cardiff Workshops in 1979 and moved to Broadmeadow Locomotive Depot in 1980 as a trainee engineman.

Brian currently holds the elected positions of Divisional President as well as Depot Organiser at Pacific National Hunter Valley. He also holds positions on the OH&S Committee and the Driver Only Committee.

Brian has been active in the Union as a Commmittee person assisting in many OH&S inspections and test/trials since 1996.

Brett Rosser Divisional Senior Vice President

Brett has worked in the Rail industry for the past 24 years, starting as a trainee engineman, initially working on Freight trains at Lithgow and then on Suburban Passenger Trains at Penrith where he is currently employed as a Train Driver with RailCorp. Brett was elected as Senior Vice President in December 2004.

Andrew Holt Divisional Councillor RailCorp Group ETR Region 1

Andrew has worked in the Rail industry for the past 26 years, becoming a driver at the Eveleigh InterCity passenger Depot in 1986. He then transferred to the Blacktown suburban passenger depot in 1998 where he is currently employed as a Driver Trainer with RailCorp.

Andrew was elected as the Divisional Council, ETR, RailCorp Group Representative in December 2004.

Paul Foster Divisional Councillor RailCorp Group ETR Region 2

Paul has worked in the Rail industry for the past 15 years starting at Lithgow as a trainee engineman. He transferred to the Flemington suburban passenger depot in 1996, where he is currently employed as a Train Driver with RailCorp.

Paul was elected as the Divisional Council, ETR Group, RailCorp Representative in December 2004.

Mark McClymont Divisional Councillor RailCorp Group ETR Region 3

Mark has worked in the Industry since 1983, and as a driver at Cronulla 1999. He is actively working for members in the workplace as the Group 3 representative as well as a relief officer at the Head Office since 2004.

John Aquilina Divisional Councillor RailCorp Group InterCity

John is currently employed as a Railcorp InterCity Train Driver, stationed at the Wollongong Depot. John was elected as the Divisional Council, InterCity, RailCorp Group Representative in December 2004

 Les White Divisional Councillor Interail Pty Ltd Group 

Les started his railway career in July 1983 at South Dynon (Victoria), then moved to Warrnambool, where he qualified as a driver. He then transferred to Flinders St. driving suburban trains. In 1987 he transferred back to South Dynon and stayed there unitl 1993. He has worked  at both Melbourn adn Alice Springs depots for National Rail Corporation and then Pacific National, Queensland in 2004.2005. In July 2005 he commenced working with Interail in Newcastle.

 

 Glenn Don Divisional Councillor Pacific National Group Metro Region

Glenn joined the Railways in 1981 and transferred to Delec/Enfield in 1982. He was then appointed at Central in 1987 and then transferred back to Enfield in 1988. He then moved on to Chullora in 1994 and stayed there until 2005.Currently he is based at Port Kembla with Pacific National. Throughout his career he has continually been an active elected RBTU representative.

 Jeff King Branch Councillor Metropolitan

Jeffstarted at Delec/Enfield in November in 1980. After working his way througth the ranks he was appointed a Class 5 Engineman in 1986. He was an active Committee representative at Enfield from 1988 until being elected Sub Divisional President in 1993. Jeff then transferred to Cityrail in 2002 and then transferred to Flemington where he was the Sub Divisional Vice President until being elected to the Depot Organisors postion as well as that of Branch Councillor in 2006.
