RTBU members have been lobbying the Federal Government and supporting public awareness actions to highlight the inadequate parental leave provisions for Australian workers. Recently, RTBU members put together photo and video message for Prime Minister Rudd to make an appropriate budget allocation to fund a decent parental leave scheme.
Members from Bus Depots in Sydney and Newcastle as well as station staff have supported the UnionsNSW campaign to win a fair parental leave scheme which does not lag behind the rest of the world.
